Get ready to embark on a journey of workplace wellness and rejuvenation with our live, online yoga sessions. It's time to invest in staff well-being and boost their peace, happiness, and productivity.

RESET YOGA: WHAT WE OBSERVE

Studies show how the brain, nervous system, and muscular-skeletal system can make lightning recovery if given even only some attention.

Space given to rest, be it a nap, a brisk walk, or at the very least, release and stretch the body with some yoga, will rapidly result in a more focused, healthier, and efficient self.

Reset yoga will motivate you to make that time and space, and dedicate it to yourself.

We are in a changing context in our work-life balance.

Long hours now spent alternating work and daily life in our homes have led to a hybrid space with blurred boundaries. All the more so if the structure of your working day is not carried by the office as an environment, but by yourself alone.

It’s often challenging to organise one’s daily life. Multi-tasking with household chores, work deadlines, feeding family and self, and multiple calls, all with a lot of screen time in compromised postures, are all demanding on the body and mind.

Allowing for some reset spaces for you to check in with your body and breathing throughout your day is key to creating an environment of pure, calm focused energy.

RESET YOGA: WHAT WE DELIVER

Class is held online live from the studio, all levels are welcome. There will be something for everyone to take away. If some students are ready for more, we can ramp up, and add thematic classes for smaller groups.

With the company’s endorsement of these short breaks, anyone can book ahead or just drop in at the last minute and let themselves be guided through breathing, stretching and relaxing. Your change in energy is guaranteed, and you will get back to your desk reset and ready.

A thirty-minute space doesn’t eat into such a large portion of one’s daily schedule, right? Anyone should feel they can justify the time, as it is less energy and commitment than a full-hour class.

All the more so if Reset Yoga is on offer through the company.

We can offer thirty-minute or one-hour classes. Either in your office chair or on a yoga mat. Whether it’s once a month, once a week or daily, whatever the weather. Classes are taught by either Rob or Sophie.

Class times are open to discussion. We would recommend between 8:00-9:00 am morning or 12:00-13:00 pm lunch as optimal times of the day - but it’s your call. A Friday afternoon is always a good bet.

Dave Ricketts

“I started once-a-week yoga classes with Rob about 18 months ago. I have a long history of chronic back pain, but I wanted to keep flexible and moving into my mid-late 50s. Rob introduced me gently to breathing exercises, stretches and postures that strengthen the core, lower back, and limbs. I’m posting this today because, during my occasional home session, I managed a full lotus position for the first time (just about!). My body feels lighter and moves easier. Multiple benefits. Rob is really easy to get on with and very experienced, whether you are a debutant or another yogi. I can’t recommend him enough”

RESET YOGA: HOW WE DELIVER

The tech and the optic fibre internet connection on our end enables us to teach seamlessly, be it a large walk-in class or a smaller, feedback-focused class.

On your end, all you need is to close the door, sit upright in your office chair, roll out your mat, tune in, and let yourself be guided.

Whilst relying on a tried and trusted class structure, each class is different from the next, allowing for new variations, also taking into account the time of the day - and of the week.

For more focused classes, should they be requested, we may suggest that students attend with an easy prop, such as a strap and/or blocks.

Online via your preferred video conferencing tool, be it Teams, Zoom, Google Meets… We can send a link a few minutes before class, or schedule a meeting in everyone’s diary with your help.

We teach from our location a fully - fitted yoga studio, rigged for a soothing and crispy clean audiovisual experience.

Professional-grade lighting and carefully thought-out camera framings have been set up for didactic, clear visuals.

We also use enhanced audio mics, so students can follow audio without a hitch or a break, even when the teacher is some feet away or demonstrating a posture.

RESET YOGA: WHO WE ARE

Please meet: Rob

“Hi my name is Rob and I have been practicing yoga for 20 years, whilst teaching for 9.

I was introduced to yoga in India, where I was fortunate enough to practice with a real yogi, in Southern Goa. Numerous return trips to India, enhanced my yoga practice and refined my dedication.

Later, after moving to Australia, I completed a 200 hours teacher training, certification, with the Nicky Knoff school of Yoga, based in Cairns, Queensland and accredited by Yoga Alliance.

Once qualified I began to teach regularly in Victoria, Australia. On a busy day I would teach 6 x 90 minute classes.

After Australia I moved to France and converted my loft into a yoga studio, here in Bellac. It’s a dream come true to have a dedicated yoga space above my head.

It is here where I continue to practice and teach daily.

Please meet: Sophie

My name is Sophie and I have been practicing yoga for 12 years, and teaching for 3 years. I came across yoga as a contemporary dancer in Brussels, it was used as a cool down sequence after dance classes.

I found yoga to be very respectful of the body. I felt like engaging further, so I booked a full-time course for a month in an ashram in India. And then stayed another month for more. I went back several times to Mysore, the yoga capital of India, where I learned the different schools of yoga.

My practice continued strong, and in 2017 I took the 500-hour Hatha Yoga Teacher Training Course in Paris. I went on to teach weekly, in parallel to my day job.

In search of a more coherent life, I moved with my family to the countryside, where I now continue exploring through practice.

Yoga is a way of life, and I love sharing it.

RESET YOGA: LEAVE A MESSAGE

“Being a competitive dressage rider I was seeking some kind of extra exercise/fitness to improve my core and stability for riding. I became aware of Bellac Yoga through a friend and although a little skeptical at first as to whether Yoga would be able to help I thought that I would give it a go as I had never tried Yoga before.

Well to my great surprise, negotiating myself into different poses using effective controlled breathing techniques over the past few weeks has indeed improved my core and posture to the effect that my riding has also improved. I am better balanced, stronger in my core and lighter with my aids whilst riding. My horse is quite relieved I think as he is also going so much better now too. A win, win for us both.

It is obviously a misconception that Yoga is just for girls and is just a gentle thing to do for an hour to while away the time. I can assure you that it is not. The class is run by Rob ( a man obviously) who is kept amazingly fit doing several classes a day throughout the week. He caters each session to the abilities of the attendees,(both male and female) from beginners to people like me who wish to target specific areas. Rob therefore adds a few pilates and other exercises to give a more intense session although sticking to the Yoga formula.

In just a couple of months doing 1 to 2 sessions a week, I have lost some excess weight and have gained a great deal of fitness, I am over the moon. It is also great to feel the energy flowing around the room when everyone is participating.

If you are looking to improve your fitness without having to do running or gym work, then this is it, believe me it is a workout but there is no pressure, you do what you can and get great satisfaction of being able to achieve more each time.

Give it a go, you will be pleasantly surprised like I was.“
